What’s the name you typically respond to?
Stacey

What is your current career/job?
Employment Specialist/Fashion Diarist

What do you love most about your job?
I love the fact that I can help people who are going through a difficult time in their life & experience huge changes, find meaningful work & purpose again.

On the fashion front, I love organizing shoots & pondering classic & current styles!

What is your typical work ‘uniform’?
Typically solid blouses & skirts with some sort of necklace embellishment. Pretty conservative at work.

What’s your go-to look on your day off?
I gravitate to minis.  Mini dresses & skirts.
Got to show off the gams!

What or who inspires you?  Why?
Well different people inspire me in different ways, but specifically on a fashion front, my godmother (Aunt Bea) is a big inspiration.  She has such a style that is all her own & is fearless.

What or who is your style icon?  Why?
I love the fashion sense of ladies like Camille Bidault Waddington, Francoise Hardy, Jane Birkin, Charlotte Gainsbourgh.  Their style just seems so effortless & natural.

What’s your personal style in 3 words?
Sorry…that’s a tough one & it’s every changing.

What is your personal style rule?
You have to feel comfortable in what your wearing otherwise it shows & looks awkward.

What’s your fashion must-have for this summer?
Carry-on luggage in a nice cognac hue.

What is one item you think every woman should have & maybe splurge on?
Black leather boots.

What’s your ideal look for attending a wedding/concert/BBQ or summer event this year?  Name the event you have chosen.
Hmmm….I really like color blocking.  I’ve seen some pics of Camilla Belle & Jennifer Lopez looking fab in this style.  I like the mix of jewel toned blue, orange, fuschia & green.  Perfect for a night out for drinks.

What’s your favorite can’t-live-without beauty product?
Moisturizer from Impruv.

Favorite local salon/spa or beauty spot?
Images & Shades.  Great extensions & hair treatments for a sista’s hair! lol!

What book would you recommend as a must read?
Stupeur et Tremblements
(Fear and Trembling in Eng version), Amelie Nothomb

Favorite local café/bistro?
New York Bagel

What movie would you recommend as a must see?

Favorite local dining place?
As of late Niche.

What are you listening to on repeat lately?

The Good The Bad & The Queen (not new but still in love)

Favorite day activity or festival in Edmonton?
Strolling downtown.  Just spending a leisurely afternoon in town.

Favorite evening activity or festival in Edmonton?
Drinks at Red Star & of course…Western Canada Fashion Week!

Give B&B ladies one piece of advice…
Whatever you choose to do or be in life, be truly moved by it.
The wonderful owner of B&B has been so integral in helping us style shoots for our blog www.apleasuryof.blogspot.com.  This particular picture is taken from our New Year’s Eve photo shoot that Tara helped style.  Every piece is from Black & Bold.  This shoot solidified & reinvigorated my interest in fashion & community.
Thank you for the inspiration Tara!
